Emma González Roberts
Chief Operating Officer
Emma is the Chief Operating Officer of TREND CDC and manages day-to-day operations including strategic planning, program delivery, funder relationships, finances, and communications. Before joining TREND CDC, Emma led resident engagement, community organizing, and resource development at Bickerdike Redevelopment corporation, a 55-year-old affordable housing development non-profit. Before Bickerdike, she was the Director of Sales at NowPow, a health tech startup. Early in her career, Emma led the expansion of two initiatives—the University of Chicago’s Public Interest Program to Washington, D.C. and the non-profit MAPSCorps to New York City. As a Rappaport Public Policy Fellow with the City of Boston's Office of Economic Development in Summer 2020, Emma led the implementation of an outdoor dining pilot providing financial support to restaurants in low-income communities reopening after COVID-19 closures. Emma earned a Master’s in City Planning specializing in community and economic development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Chicago.
