TREND Community Development Corporation (TREND CDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2019 to complement the mission of Chicago TREND Corporation (TREND), a social enterprise focused on revitalizing urban commercial corridors and closing the racial wealth gap.

TREND acquires shopping centers in under-resourced neighborhoods, transforms them into vibrant community hubs, and creates opportunities for local residents to co-own these assets. TREND CDC leads initiatives that enhance this strategy including community engagement and investor education.

Together, the two organizations have developed a track record of working in urban neighborhoods to reduce the racial wealth gap by creating opportunities for residents and entrepreneurs of color to own commercial real estate and grow their businesses.
